Ideas for a makeshift clamp on middle part of garage door?
i’m hoping to clamp both the inner and outer faces of a 4 panel overhead garage door made of wood. the door has bowed due to moisture but is salvageable. i have a bar clamp and c clamp that won’t reach the middle panel. the lower panel is clampable with the door in the half up position.
how to get the reach to clamp the middle panel? (i don’t want to take the door apart or buy a new one).
Take a long enough piece of steel (Channel or angle) drill thru the garage door and bolt together.
fill holes after piece is set with wood putty, refinish.
