How can I find out about the company that produced the trunk that I bought?
The name of the co. on the trunk is Union Supreme Bagging Trunk, manafactured in Richmond, VA. The last shipping date which is hard to read is Pittsburg, PA. August 1934. There is one before this but it is in such poor condition that it is illegible. The top is peeling and is leather, the left handle which is leather is broke, but other than that the trunk is in remarkable shape. I would like to know all I can about the trunk, as well as a appraisal value if you know one or where I might find one. On to the trunk, to me it looks as if it was made for a woman as it has paisley print on the inside, as well as a drawer and a half piece which covers part of the drawer. Maybe to cover under things or whatever needed to be carried in that section of the trunk. When I saw it I fell in love with it and do not wish to part with it, but would like to know the history and how to go about restoring this in the cheapest but reasonable fashion.
I think you might have meant to say ‘truck’, not ‘trunk’. Maybe that’s why so many people DIDN’T answer (=P). Also, it would be a good idea to post this question under other category, like ‘Cars & Transportation >> Car Makes >> Other – Car Makes’
I’m not very knowledgeable about the whole car subject, but if I were you, I would’ve googled the name of the company first. That’s all.
