I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler that has a really soft clutch pedal and will sometime not go into 1st?
or reverse from a stop. Is it the clutch, or the clutch pedal system. On the oil fill it says it is a closed system and the entire system would need to be replaced…. Once you get it going, it runs thru all the gears just fine. I don’t think it’s the clutch, I think it is in the hydraulic clutch pedal system… I was pulling some heavy boats with the jeep prior to this happening. I was in the woods and in 4×4 when it first acted up.
Check the clutch fluids, if you don’t have proper levels, it could slip and not let you change gears well.
