What time of oil do you recommend for my unfinished Oak kitchen worktop?
I just had an oak worktop installed in my new kitchen. The supplier of the worktop recommend Danish oil but I want to know if there is anything else you recommend?
I want something that is not harmful in the kitchen and something that will darken the wood nicely. Thanks.
If this is a food preparation area, use a food grade product such as vegetable or mineral oil. There are several foods that have staining characteristics, such as coffee, that you might use to darken the wood.
