How do i clean up and sharpen an old pocket knife?
I have my dad’s old pocket knife. This knife is 30+ years old. I have already steel wooled it and am soaking it in vinegar. i have no Idea what else to do but maybe put some WB40 in it?? I am going to be using for outdoor/fishing stuff. Any help??
I have a whole box of ‘things used for cleaning stuff’… it includes toothpicks and Q-tips and such.
The oil that you use on your pistol/rifle, like Rem oil or equivalent is OK on a knife. Just get to all the places where rust and dirt are likely to cause a problem.
Lansky makes a great sharpening system that will put a razor edge on a blade.
