I want to record studio quality music, Is Pro-tools worth it?
i would like to know if i need to spend the money on pro tools for high quality recording, or can i get another program with the same quality recording for cheaper, cus i dont think i need half the things thats pro tools comes with.

Yes, you are right – the Protools full package is overkill.
Protools LE or Cubase LE is plenty good for 95% of musicians.
Even the free program Audacity does a great job.
It will benefit you to get a good recording interface too. The hardware that converts the analog to digital makes a big difference. Your computer’s built in sound card is not good. Here is the one I have and it works great:
