how much is an Antique Adding Machine Lever Pull American Pat. 1912 worth today?
My uncle has one and he wants to find out how much its worth without going to a antique store because there have been people trying to say the amount is less than it really is and he doesn’t want to deal with those people. Please help me out if possible so I can tell him and he’ll leave me alone lol…thanks
This is the type of thing that only collectors would have an interest in. What I am saying is that the market is limited. If you find an interested buyer that is willing to make an offer you should listen. You can always try looking on the auction sites to see if any are listed and if they are watch to see if they actually sell. I used to run an Antique Mall and we discouraged selling this type of item. Really early typewriters would sell sometimes but usually took a while waiting on just the right person. Besides it is not really an antique! The general rule of thumb is 100 years old to be considered an antique. The next thing is even more important- do people want to collect it? Not everything old enough to be an antique is valuable. If it was dirt and rocks would really be up there in value. Bottom line desirability is most important when it comes to getting the money.
