Southern Red Oak growth rate?
I found a Southern Red Oak sapling growing in my yard. The sapling is approx. 7-9″ tall. What is the growth rate per year for this tree? I know it has a moderate growth rate, but what does that mean in terms of annual growth?
They take a LOOOOOOONG time to grow. The reason I know? When I was born, my parents planted two. I’m 53 now, and I can still put my arms almost all the way around them
